Baked Cinnamon & Maple Pears – JSHealth

Who doesn’t appreciate a healthful nonetheless decadent dessert? These baked pears are so delicate and juicy, and paired with the yoghurt, it tends to make for a nourishing and creamy treat that’s perfect served incredibly hot to warm you up through cooler months. If it is summer season in your corner of the world, just serve it chilled – it is just as delectable.

Serves: 6


  • 6 pears, halved, I employed Bosc pears
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract, optional
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

To serve

  • 200g (7oz) Greek yoghurt, or coconut yoghurt for dairy-no cost


Preheat the oven to 180°C or 350°F.

Place the pears in a shallow baking dish or ramekin.

Drizzle the maple syrup, coconut oil and vanilla extract about the leading of the pears. Dust with the cinnamon.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, or till golden and caramelised.

Provide with Greek yoghurt or coconut yoghurt.

Any leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
