The County of Essex has attained a tentative settlement with CUPE Neighborhood 860, the union representing additional than 300 workers at Sun Parlor Residence.
“This tentative settlement respects the tricky get the job done staying performed on a everyday foundation by the compassionate staff at Solar Parlor House and it was reached thanks to the diligent attempts of associates from the union and the County of Essex,” stated CUPE national agent Suanne Hawkins.
No aspects of the a few-calendar year arrangement have unveiled. The union will maintain a ratification vote on July 6 ahead of the offer goes Essex County council for acceptance.
“I would like to thank the union representatives for partaking in constructive discussions close to the negotiating desk and for so ably symbolizing the interests of Sunshine Parlor Home staff, who have stood so strong during the pandemic,” stated Kristie Cronin, director of human resources for the County of Essex.
The previous agreement expired in March.
