Walang Pasok: Palace declares June 24, 2022, a distinctive (non-operating) day in Manila
Manila, Philippines – The Malacañang Palace officially declared Friday, June 24, a distinctive non-working holiday in Manila to mark its 451st founding anniversary, mentioned Govt Secretary Salvador Medialdea dated June 22, Wednesday.
The President built the declaration as a result of Proclamation No. 1400, signed on June 22, 2022.

“It is but fitting and suitable that the people today of the Metropolis of Manila will be offered entire possibility to rejoice and take part in the celebration with proper ceremonies, issue to the community health and fitness measures of the countrywide governing administration,” Proclamation No. 1400 reads.
On June 24, 1571, Manila was recognized by Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, the initial governor-standard of the Philippines beneath Spanish colonial rule.
Compensation for Nationwide Common Holiday seasons
a. If it is an employee’s normal workday
- If unworked, an employee shall be compensated 100% of his/her day-to-day amount – (Day by day Rate x 100%)
- If worked, an staff shall be paid 200% of his/her daily fee for the 8 hrs – (Everyday Charge x 200%)
- Excess of 8 hours – as well as 30% of hourly rate on explained working day
b. If it is an staff rest working day
- If unworked – 100%
- If worked – 1st 8 hours – as well as 30% of 200%
